Topic Synopsis:

As Project Management Professionals, we know the importance of setting clear goals, milestones, and deliverables. We’ve all been trained to make them S.M.A.R.T.—specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. In practice, even well-designed goals can lose momentum as projects evolve, stakeholders shift, and competing priorities demand attention.

How do you stay on track—both for yourself and your teams—to ensure goals turn into meaningful outcomes?

In this engaging session, you’ll discover a fresh approach to goal-setting that goes beyond S.M.A.R.T. and equips you to sustain progress in both projects and personal leadership growth.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this session, you will gain practical insights into:

Mindset: How adopting a growth mindset keeps you and your teams resilient through project challenges

Science: What brain science reveals about motivation and follow-through in a fast-paced project environment

Tips: A brain-friendly approach to creating, sustaining, and achieving goals—whether they’re for your project portfolio or your own career journey
