PMIH Happy Hour & Professional Networking 

​PMI Houston invites you to join us in-person for happy hour at Saint Arnold Brewery! Meet fellow local professionals in project management and learn tips on career strategy and marketing yourself for job opportunities from our guest speaker, Jane Crisler.

Jane Crisler is a career strategist.  She helps her clients get better jobs and make more money. Using her corporate HR expertise from Northern California and Texas, she shares recruiting tactics so you win the job you want.  The goal is to target the companies that YOU want to work for and consider how you want the rest of your work life to look.  

Clients create a Search Engine Optimized (SEO) LinkedIn profile. She will interview you in order to build an accomplishment-filled resume with keywords from job descriptions from your targeted companies. When you know that 80% of jobs are found through networking, she encourages her clients to “get out the house”.  She provides a national and global aspect of networking, marketing, interviewing and negotiating skills.  Jane is a member of The Houston Economics Club, The Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce, the World Affairs Council of Great Houston and Networking in Action.  

Jane has delivered over 12,000 formal coaching hours and completed 150 hours training from the International Coaches Federation (ICF). A Bachelor of Journalism degree was earned from The University of Texas at Austin where she wrote for The Daily Texan.
 

Topic Synopsis

This presentation is to empower members in their career strategy. Members can expect to learn how to target opportunities with companies that they desire along with marketing themselves and negotiating salary during the interview process. Some have used these techniques to further their careers and increase their salary.
