2026 Board of Directors Nominations


Service on the Board of Directors of PMI Houston Chapter in an officer position is a rare opportunity to help drive the decisions of our local chapter, collaborate with other PMI leaders regionally and globally and continue your growth as a leader. This is an exciting time to join the leadership of the PMI Houston Chapter and help us map our ambitious future.

Board service is a chance to grow personally and professionally, to develop skills, gain unique experience and make lasting connections with a team of other passionate and motivated professionals. Board service also provides these unique opportunities:
   • Develop valuable skills in non-profit governance, program planning, and strategic planning
   • Expand your network of professional contacts
   • Gain recognition from your employer, community and peers

The PMI Houston Chapter Vice Presidents serve on the board for two years. The term of office for the President-Elect is a 3-year commitment as they serve 1 year in each of the following offices: President-Elect, President, Past President. Please take the duration of these commitments into consideration as you read through all the material on our website.

Candidates must meet a professional standard of excellence by demonstrating the following:
   • Hold active membership in PMI Houston Chapter
   • Have served as a volunteer in PMI Houston Chapter for at least one year
   • Have time to dedicate to fulfilling their responsibilities

Note: The Board of Directors reserves the right to make any exceptions if needed.

Help lead our association and profession into the future by nominating a colleague or yourself for the positions available. The Call for Nominations closes on June 28, 2025, and new board members once elected shadow the current office holder and take office January 1, 2026.

How do I apply?

   • Learn more about our organization by reviewing our  organizational documents.
   • Reach out to current board members to learn more about the role.
   • Interviews will be conducted for you to ask questions and the nominations team to review your qualifications.
   • The election will be held in August.

• Download the PMI Non-Compete agreement and Conflict of Interest Questionnaire
• Sign your completed Conflict of Interest Questionnaire and email it to our Elections Lead.
