PMI North Houston / The Woodlands A Convenient Venue at a Collegial Campus for PMs to Network, Learn, and Earn PDUs

PMI members who work or live in the north Houston meet at a convenient location at the Sam Houston State University Campus, University Center in The Woodlands, with easy access off of I-45 at 3380 College Park Drive, 4th Floor, The Woodlands, TX 77384.   Members network, fellowship, and hear about topics relevant to the practice of project management while earning PDUs.

At the July 19 meeting the guest speaker was Dennis Baldwin (L), Global Project Management & Agile Practice Leader for Experis IT. He presented “The Agile PMO, Creating a Predictable and Consistent Project Management Culture”. As Practice Director for PMO, Agile and DevOps services Dennis is a recognized practice SME. His presented a balanced approach for attaining optimum balance between traditional waterfall and agile project management and profiting from using the right approach for the job.

Agile, in its various forms, continues growing in practice and delivering real results for corporations and in the government sector, making the presentation timely. Dennis facilitated interaction that prompted members to participate with questions and comments from their own project management experiences with both methodologies. Dennis is an engaging and seasoned speaker and stayed after to chat with members and share personal insights.
