Please, Please, Please Volunteer!
Please, Please, Please Volunteer!
Tom Goebel, PMI Houston Director Of Communications
In his book, Man’s Search for Meaning, Dr. Viktor Frankl cites the following based on empirical evidence drawn from decades of working with patients (and I’m paraphrasing here): In treating young people for depression related to job loss and unemployment, those that followed his advice to volunteer/donate their time without exception overcame their depression. In most cases, there had been no change in their economic circumstances!
PMI Houston has many volunteer options. It’s easy to find a volunteer position that matches your interests and skill set. You can offer your services in a variety of fields – technology, membership, marketing, communications, military outreach – and more!
Benefits include skill development, networking, friendships, and exposure to job opportunities, to list just a few.
To learn more, please see the volunteer section on our website, http://pmihouston.org, or contact Stephanie Dixon, Vice President – Volunteers. You can reach Stephanie at [email protected].
