Eddie Merla, PMI-ACP, PMP®
Eddie Merla, PMI-ACP, PMP®, is the founder and owner of Duende Project Management Services. He is a PMP® preparation instructor, a PMI-ACP instructor and a speaker and trainer on project management and leadership topics. He has worked with multiple organizations to implement PMOs and to transition from traditional project management approaches to Agile/Scrum. He has over 25 years of project management experience including seven years leading international consulting engagements and projects. He has published multiple articles with PMI and is a frequent presenter at PMI Conferences and Congresses.
He has trained project managers and other business professionals in 10 separate countries.
Eddie is also active with Toastmasters International. He has achieved the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) award, the highest educational award that can be earned by an individual Toastmaster, three times. He has also served the Houston District Toastmasters (District 56) as a district governor and helped charter two Project Management based Toastmaster clubs.
Recently, Eddie Merla served as the Academic Director for the development of the Strategic Project Management course currently being offered by Rice University’s Glasscock School of continuing studies. Eddie also serves as a business coach for organizations considering Agile and PMO startups.
