    • Been published in a number of business media outlets, interviewed in the Houston Chronicle, appeared on CNN Business Radio and speaks frequently to companies and professional and industry organizations across the country.
    • Holds a BBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of Houston and an MS in Organizational Development from the University of Texas. ICF Certified Coach and Certified Birkman Consultant.

    Juanita Hines

    A graduate of Appalachian State University, Juanita Hines possesses more than ten years training and development experience. She has been responsible for instructing people on all levels of the employment spectrum within vast industries and professionals.

    Ms. Hines has successfully placed professionals ranging from entry-level to C-suite and executive positions within Fortune 500, government contracting, profit, as well as non-profit companies and she, has recruited both domestically and internationally.

    While extremely successful in recruiting; Ms. Hines transitioned to functioning as a Career Optimization Strategist through Regional Consulting; an organization dedicated to empowering corporate professionals, students and job seekers with vital tools and insight that facilitates professional success.

    She provides engaging workshops and seminars that focus on promoting strategic career navigation for professionals, which ranges from the employee and organizational sessions aimed at retaining, growing and re-engaging employees to helping equip college students for successful matriculation from college to the job market. Ms. Hines has spoken for a variety of conferences, companies and she has provided workshops for national, regional and local conferences with a resounding theme of helping to equip professionals with insight that will grow their careers and help students to translate post-secondary academic success into professional success.

    Ms. Hines is the author of “Master Your Career Playbook: Resumes,” a resource that’s dedicated to helping professionals write effective resumes and communicate their intrinsic value.  Her goal is to empower individuals with the tools that they need to succeed in their professional lives.
    Topic Description:

    This session will be geared towards equipping individuals with insight that will help them to be more effective individual and collaborative contributors within their organizations, we will discuss how to utilize internal and external networking strategies to enhance career success and will encourage attendees to be more strategic about navigating their careers while positively positioning them to be successful.

    Professional Development Units (PDU) for PMI certified professionals:

    The introduction of the updated CCR system has resulted in a much simpler procedure for claiming PDUs.             As before, there are no specific PDU codes for events that award up to 2 PDUs. Each PMI Houston meeting with a 1-hour presentation, on a PM Talent Triangle topic, equals 1 PDU. (The category for each presentation will be indicated on the website)  This includes dinner meetings, pre-dinner meetings, and meetings at any of PMI Houston's satellite venues.  If you attended both pre-dinner and dinner presentations, please submit 2 PDU claims following the process below for each presentation event.

    Procedure for getting PDU credit for PMI® Houston’s meetings towards the recertification of your PMI credential (PMP, PgMP, etc.):

    1. Go to www.pmi.org and log in using your pmi.org Username and Password.
    2. Select myPMI and click on “Report PDUs”
    3. Click on “Organization Meetings” and fill in the form.
    4. Organization Host " PMI Houston "
    5. Title:  “Chapter Meeting”
    6. Meeting Number (Optional)  C012 (zero)
    7. Date Started Use Calendar to complete
    8. Date Completed Use Calendar to complete
    9. PDUs claimed - Enter 1, under the relevant category of the Talent Triangle. (Each 1 hr. presentation equals 1 PDU)
    10. Review the data entered, if correct click the box indicating "I agree this claim is accurate"
    11. Click Submit
