    Microsoft

    Jeff has spent nearly 30 years focused on Project Management. In 1985 he ran his 1st PMO at a division of Kodak. In the 90’s he created Program Management Solutions Inc providing services to the government on projects such as SDI, Space Station & Chemical Weapons. Since 2002 he has worked at Microsoft in a number of positions focused on helping customers realize the value of their investments in the Microsoft EPM platform.

    Pedro Corrall

    Pedro Corral has over 10 years’ experience leading diverse teams in manufacturing, operations, quality, field service, and commercial project management in various companies and multiple industries.  Pedro began his career in US-Mexico operations and later worked in Canada, China, Denmark, and Germany.

    Pedro’s most recent role was as regional Senior Project Management Leader at GE.  He began his career as an Operations Leadership Development Program engineer at Siemens and has held various positions including Manufacturing and Operations manager, Regional Service & Retrofits Manager, Director of Technical Services, Quality, and Continuous Improvement.

    Pedro holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical and manufacturing engineering from University of Texas.  He holds a PMP certification in project management as well as a Lean Six-Sigma certification.

     
    John Bish

    John Bish has over 25 years’ experience leading diverse teams in Automation and Engineering Management and Leadership. He has 14 years’ experience as the Controls and Operations Manager for General Electric in their Aeroderivative Gas Turbine and Gasification businesses. He also has over ten years’ experience with Black & Veatch, and Wood Group Mustang in Controls Engineering and Project Manager roles.

    John is currently a Main Automation Contractor (MAC) Project Manager for Wood Group Mustang where he has managed projects in refining, upstream, fertilizer and chemicals businesses.

    John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Milling Science and Management and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, both from Kansas State University. He completed the GE Project Management and Advanced Manufacturing Course at GE Crotonville, and is Six Sigma certified in DMAIC, DFSS, and DFR quality methodologies. 

     
    Luiz Feijo

    Luiz Feijo is Director, Offshore Projects for the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) in its headquarters in Houston, Texas - USA. Feijo looks over the project management activities on the classification and certification of offshore facilities. He is also responsible for business development activities and the interface with regulatory agencies involved in offshore facilities.

    A Project Manager Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI), Feijo holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Rio de Janeiro State University in Brazil. 


    Wendy Valot


    Wendy is our Director for this PMI Houston Energy Corridor Venue.   Wendy has over 20 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, including nearly 10 years in continuous improvement and best practice development.  Wendy holds a PMP certification from PMI as well as a Lean Six Sigma certification from Villanova University and a PROSCI Change Management certification.

    Topic Description:

    The intent of this panel discussion is to emphasize the Quality commitment that drives all that we do in the Energy Industry.   The Panel will represent varying roles and points of view in our industry:  quality engineering, supplier quality management and project management. We will hear, specifically, how the commitment to Quality has affected each of their careers and roles.   We will then launch into discussion questions, including those from the audience. The panel looks forward to hearing your questions.

    Professional Development Units (PDU) for PMI certified professionals:

    The introduction of the updated CCR system, has resulted in a much simpler procedure for claiming PDUs.  As before, there are no specific PDU codes for events that award up to 2 PDUs. Each PMI Houston meeting with a 1-hour presentation, on a PM Talent Triangle topic, equals 1 PDU. (The category for each presentation will be indicated on the web-site)  This includes dinner meetings, pre-dinner meetings and meetings at any of PMI Houston's satellite venues.  If you attended both pre-dinner and dinner presentations, please submit 2 PDU claims following the process below for each presentation event.

    Procedure for getting PDU credit for PMI® Houston’s meetings towards the recertification of your PMI credential (PMP, PgMP, etc.):

    1. Go to www.pmi.org and log in using your pmi.org Username and Password.
    2. Select myPMI and click on “Report PDUs”
    3. Click on “Organization Meetings” and fill in the form.
    4. Organization Host " PMI Houston "
    5. Title  “Chapter Meeting”
    6. Meeting Number (Optional)  C012 (zero)
    7. Date Started Use Calendar to complete
    8. Date Completed Use Calendar to complete
    9. PDUs claimed - Enter 1, under the relevant category of the Talent Triangle. (Each 1 hr. presentation equals 1 PDU)
    10. Review the data entered, if correct click the box indicating "I agree this claim is accurate"
    11. Click Submit
