    Topic Description:

In this talk Rashid will discuss:

    •         Three steams of happiness (meaningful life, engaged life, pleasant life) as defined by the field of positive psychology.
    •         Pragmatic applications and benefits that can be derived when these insights are endorsed and embraced by project teams.
    •         Ideas and guidelines for developing excellent mental habits which contribute to project success.
    •         The work and books of thought leaders in this field.

From this session, participants will be able to:

    •         Become familiar with the world and benefits of positive psychology.
    •         Learn how these—vastly varied—sources of happiness can benefit the individual and the project team simultaneously.
    •         Learn how project teams can harness the power—all three streams—of happiness pragmatically.
    •         Learn how to develop excellent mental habits.
    •         Learn about the work and books of thought leaders in this field

The scientific validity of this thinking—and pragmatic benefit—is less and less in doubt. Leaders ignore these insights at their own peril.
