2017 Board of Directors Officer Nomination Form

Service on the Board of Directors of PMI Houston in an officer position is a rare opportunity to help drive the decisions of our local chapter, collaborate with other PMI leaders regionally and globally and continue your growth as a leader. This is an exciting time to join the leadership of PMI Houston and help us map our ambitious future.

Board service is a chance to grow personally and professionally, to develop skills, gain unique experience and make lasting connections with a team of other passionate and motivated professionals. Board service also provides these unique opportunities:

  •         Develop valuable skills in non-profit governance, program planning and strategic planning
  •         Expand your network of professional contacts
  •         Gain recognition from your employer, community, or peers

The PMI Houston Vice President serves on the board for two years. The term of office for the Senior Vice President Internal Operations is a total of four years (one as SVP Internal Operations, one as SVP External Operations, one as President, and one as Past President). Please take the duration of these commitments into consideration as you read through all the material on our web site.

Candidates must meet a professional standard of excellence by demonstrating the following: 

  •         Hold active membership in PMI Houston
  •         Have served on the committee for 6 months
  •         For the role of VP Professional Development a PMI certification is preferred.
  •         For the SVP Internal Operations role served on the Board of Directors as a VP for a PMI chapter for two           years or like experience 
  •         Have time to dedicate to fulfilling their responsibilities.

 Help lead our association and profession into the future by nominating a colleague or yourself for the positions available. The Call for Nominations closes on April 30th, 2017 and new board members take office January 1st 2018, with the exception of VP Outreach and VP Professional Development which are or will be immediately approved by the Board of Directors.

  •         VP Outreach 2018-2019
  •         VP Professional Development 2017-2018
  •         Sr VP Internal Operations 2018
  •         VP Programs 2018-2019
