2016 PMI Houston Conference

1.      What is the deadline for the registration?

Attendees are welcome to register on site up to June 8. The Conference & Expo will be held between June 6-8 and registration will open at 7:30 AM. Onsite registration will close Monday and Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. and Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.

2.      Is lunch included in my registration?

Yes, breakfast and lunch are included in the registration fees for the conference based on the days you sign up to attend. 

3.      Are there any evening events?

On Monday evening we will host a networking / happy hour for attendees registered for Monday sessions. This is a great opportunity to meet others in our profession and you will have a chance to win door prizes.

4.      I already registered for the conference, but I cannot attend. Can I cancel the registration?

Yes, you may cancel your registration to the conference & expo by contacting the Registration Chair, Logan Beszterda, at admin@pmihouston.org. Our policy is as follows:

Cancellation received by 05/16/16 - 100% (less $50 cancellation fee)
Cancellation received after 05/16/16 before 05/31/16 - 50% (less $50 cancellation fee)
Cancellation received on or after 05/31/16 - No Refunds due to expenses incurred for attendees.

Transfer Policy
Registrations may be transferred to another course, and will incur a $50 change fee. Transfer request letter must be from the original registrant, and must be sent to admin@pmihouston.org.

Payment Policy
 Online pre-registration requires full payment of your invoice to complete and confirm your reservation. Unpaid invoices will automatically cancel ten (10) days after the date of the invoice. At this point, your pre-registration will be cancelled. Once an unpaid registration is cancelled, a new registration is required at the then current pricing. It is recommended you pay your registration fee via credit card, at the time of registering, to confirm and obtain the best available discount.

5.      Is there any group discount for the conference?

Discount Corporate Registration Discount (promo code needed). If you are registering five (5) or more people from the same company you can register at the rate and receive the discount price. Please contact Logan Beszterda for the discount code needed.

(Note: only one of these discounts may be applied to your registration, no combinations of discounts will be allowed.)

6.      Is there any discount for PMI members?

No, we only offer the member price to PMI Houston members.  We encourage PMI global members to become Houston chapter members, and to take advantage of the many benefits for a very low membership price.

7.      Is there any discount for PMI Houston members?

Yes. You must login to register prior to the conference to obtain our PMI Houston member rate. There are no member discounts if registering onsite.

8.      Is there any group discount for the hotel reservation?

Yes we have a conference rate with Holiday Inn NRG park, 8111 Kirby Drive. More details to follow.
Discount is limited to room block availability.

9.   How do I sign up for the volunteering?

We would love to have you join our team and volunteer to make this year’s conference a success! Opportunities to work pre conference and during conference are available. You may contact our Volunteer Chair Alvin Delfin at director.volunteer@pmihouston.org

 11.   Is there any free shuttle service from airport to conference/hotel?

There are no free shuttle services for the conference/hotel. However, you can hail for a taxi to/from the hotel. 

12.   Where do I park?

Parking is included in your conference fee. You must print and provide your parking pass for each day you are attending. A parking permit will be emailed to attendees prior to the conference with all conference details to the email you register with

13.   What are the dates / times for the 2016 conference?

June 6 - 8 Monday thru Wednesday
Day 1 Breakfast avail 7-8am, Sessions 8-5 followed by Networking Happy Hour till 6:30 pm
Day 2 Breakfast avail 7-8am, Sessions 8-5pm
Day 3 Breakfast avail 7-8am, Sessions 8-5pm

15.   Is the PMI Chapter monthly meetings a part of the conference?

Yes, this will be held during the conference. No venues will meet in June. 

16.   How many PDUs do I receive for the conference?

Attendees can receive up to 24 PDUs for the conference & expo.
PMI Houston will submit your PDUs for you based on the following:
Session PDUs require you are scanned entering a session within 15 minutes of its start, no exceptions.
Session PDUs will be submitted based on alignment with the PMI Talent Triangle.
