    Brian Roberson, MBA, PMP - Senior Vice President, Internal 2018

    Brian is a Senior Project Management Consultant for Advanced Project Solution (APS).  As a consultant he travels the world, working with several of the world’s largest major capital projects.  He specializes in Risk Management in the Energy industry, however has worked with many different industries, including: Information Technology, Government and Infrastructure, Logistics, and Commercial Construction.

    Strategically emphasize the value of the organization to the organization and improving the overall experience for our members and driving a sense of belonging.  This sense of inclusiveness helps drives higher quality volunteers, which drives higher quality products, which drives value and growth to our members as happy members bring more members into the PMI organization.

    Jack Wilson - Vice President, Outreach 2018

    My time volunteering as Director of Communications has been spent helping my Vice President meet her tenure goals. For my part, this included the recruitment of two Volunteer Content Writers, an aesthetic recreation of the Chapter’s Monthly and Bi-Weekly Newsletters, and streamlined publication and advertisement requests among the Chapter’s Leadership. Additionally, I assisted with the revision of parts of the Chapter’s website, accomplished through the endeavors of the eBusiness and Technologies Team.

    Likewise, the foundation of my time spent serving as the VP of Outreach will include teamwork and volunteer development. As a highly-visible position among the Chapter’s Leadership, knowing and helping to meet the needs of my colleagues will enable me to better define my role, assess the resources required to accomplish the directives of that role, acquire and develop those resources, and enable the heightened visibility and offerings of our Chapter’s brand in the Greater Houston Area. This will empower the Chapter to meet the needs of its Leadership, enabling them to relevantly engage those who want to give back to their profession and community, and ultimately meet the needs of the Chapter’s membership and the community at large.

    Keith Bower, PhD - Vice President, Professional Development 2018

    Keith Bower, PhD, is a candidate for Vice President Professional Development for PMI-Houston. Keith is President of Energy Project Coach, LLC, a consultancy providing project leadership expertise to clients in the energy industry and not-for-profit sector.  He has consulted globally with multiple energy companies on over 100 major projects totaling well over $100 billion in capital cost. Keith has served on numerous occasions as an instructor in major and small capital project management for Chevron and as a presenter at Chevron's global project management summit. Keith serves as a consultant, coach and trainer in Project Development, Leadership and Management, Project Work Process Development and Improvement, Project Execution Best Practices, and more. Keith is also Founder and President of Syndéo Consulting, a firm helping clients accomplish their objectives, particularly major projects, in complex multicultural contexts. His consulting in the not-for-profit sector has focused on helping organizations connect with and serve more diverse constituencies.

    Keith’s volunteer experience has focused on humanitarian work in East Africa and the needs of Houston’s underserved communities. He served as the founding chairman of the Grace International Children’s Foundation which established and operates a home and school for over 100 orphans near Mbale, Uganda. He also serves as a board member for the Covenant Bible Institute of Theology in Mbale, Uganda. Keith has over thirty years of local church leadership experience. He currently serves on the leadership team of City of Refuge Church, a multi-racial congregation located near Houston's historic Third Ward, and served previously as a board member for the College of Biblical Studies in Houston. Keith holds degrees in Chemistry (BA, University of Houston), Theology (Th.M., Dallas Theological Seminary) and Philosophy / Philosophy of Mathematics (M.A., Ph.D., University of St. Thomas). Keith was trained by and consulted with the Disney Institute in the areas of Culture, Leadership, Employee Selection, Training & Engagement, and Customer Service.

    Jim Benvie - Vice President, Programs 2018

    Jim recently transitioned from the corporate world, to that of self-employed Project Manager, with his own company TyauvinOn Solutions LLC.

    He served with NOV for 29 years, prior to retiring. Working in various locations and roles, but predominantly in aftermarket projects, service and support.

    He has served as a volunteer with PMI Houston for a number of years at the North venue, prior to his current position as VP of Programs.

    His interests are, reading, history, and cycling.

    He lives with his wife Juliet in the Tomball area.

    As VP Programs my goal will be to continue to develop the PMI Houston services to members, through the provision of varied and stimulating programs.

    I will continue to work with other board members to implement and develop the ongoing strategic plans.
